حقيقة ذرية السلطان المولى إسماعيل بين الروايات والمخطوطات المعتمدة
يُنسب غالباً إلى السلطان العلوي المولى إسماعيل (1645–1727) رقم قياسي في عدد الأبناء والذرية، مع أرقام تتجاوز أحياناً 800 إلى أكثر من 1000 من الأبناء في بعض الروايات الشائعة. غير أن التحليل العلمي والتدقيق الرصين في السجلات والوثائق التاريخية المعتمدة يكشف أن هذه الحكاية انبنت على مبالغات بعيدة كل البعد عن الواقع التاريخي الموثق.
يعود مصدر هذه الأرقام الفلكية بالأساس إلى كتابات الراهب الفرنسي دومينيك بوسنو (Dominique Busnot) في مؤلفه «Histoire du règne de Mouley Ismael» المنشور سنة 1714 إثر مهمة افتداء الأسرى. وعند مقابلة هذه الروايات بالمصادر والكرونولوجيات المغربية الرصينة (مثل كتاب «الاستقصا لأخبار دول المغرب الأقصى» للناصري)، تتضح الصورة الواقعية لذرية السلطان والوثائق المحفوظة.
